Some of the heroes and villains (but not the main kids–at least not yet) from the D&D Animated Series are going to be miniatures from GF9.

In the upcoming adventure The Wild Beyond the Witchlight: A Feywild Adventure, Wizards of the Coast is taking the opportunity to make canonical some of the characters from the old D&D Cartoon. We’re not talking about the main heroes like Presto or Erik… not yet anyway (who knows once the book actually comes out), but some of the helpful NPCs they met, like Strongheart and Elkhorn or villains, like Warduke and Kelek.

Soon they’ll be NPCs with stats and desires and treasure you can take from them when you defeat them and everything. But they’ll also very soon be miniatures brought to you from Gale Force Nine. Check them out. Here’s Valor’s Call, a group of heroes:

“Led by the human paladin Strongheart, the heroes of Valor’s Call tracked the League of Malevolence to Prismeer, determined to bring the league’s members to justice for crimes committed on many worlds. The noble adventuring party was founded by Strongheart, a resolute human paladin committed to destroying evil wherever it rears its ugly head. Strongheart alone determines who can become a member of this prestigious group. The paladin is always on the lookout for courageous heroes who are willing to devote themselves to a good cause.”

But they’ll have to contend with the villainous League of Malevolence:

“The League of Malevolence is an odious assemblage of villains united in one purpose: the accumulation of power. Its founding member, the sorcerer Kelek, expects his confederates to work together for their mutual benefit, but he also encourages them to pursue their own evil schemes.”

These miniatures will be available in the fall, following the book’s release.

Happy Adventuring!
