MTG: Innistrad – Midnight Hunt Spoilers
It’s spoiler season again, time to take a look at what’s coming to us when Magic returns to Innistrad for a Midnight Hunt. Werewolves await!
Alright folks let’s dig into Innistrad, the spookiest of sets coming to Magic: the Gathering this year. And we get not one, but two different angles on the classic realm of gothic horror and creepitude. Midnight Hunt, which is all about werewolves, and Crimson Vow, which is all about draculas. So figure out whether or not you’re team Jacob or team Edward, but for now, let’s take a look at what we’ve seen for Midnight Hunt.
First up, a look at the new Day and Night tokens for the Daybound and Nightbound mechanics, which give keywords to the werewolf transformation rules, locking Innistrad in to a cycle of Day and Night, which seems appropriate considering we’re dealing with werewolves and they live to howl at the moon. You trigger the condition all the usual ways, casting no spells or at least two spells. So plan carefully.
Then there’s Saryth, the Viper’s Fang, who grants deathtouch and hexproof to everything you control.
And finally our Werewolf Planeswalker, Arlinn, the Pack’s Hope who has Daybound and Nightbound forms:
And there you have it.
