MTG: New Midnight Hunt Spoilers Show A Beleaguered Chapel Ready To Fight
Innistrad is a plane of gothic horror, and you can’t have gothic anything without having a deeply iconographic church of some kind.
It’s true. And the church, in Innistrad, has been going through some tough times, what with the death of Avacyn in the wake of the events of the Eldritch Moon. Now, the church on Innistrad has its own struggles as the Midnight Hunt comes calling. But hope endures–and enduring things and providing hope is what white mana is all about. Check out these spoilers that show how faith and magic are bolstering once more.
Let’s start with one of my favorite spoilers from this round. There’s the Chaplain of Alms by day, who becomes the Capel Shieldgeist when it rises from the grave, reflecting the sort of haunted nature of things in Innistrad. Also first strike is great.
I’m definitely one of those weirdos that loves cards that tell a story though, so your mileage may vary. But there’s more churchy white cards:
The Celestus Sanctifier brings you a powerful graveyard engine if you need it.
While the ritual guardian signifies a return to the old ways. Which means lots of witches.
From masks, to companions:
To the witches themselves:
Innistrad is full of witches.
Return to the Old Ways.
