Necromunda: New Van Saar Augmeks Bring In The Drones
Drones? Spiders? Pets? For the Van Saar those can all be the same thing. Check out the new Augmek’s Cyberachnids!
It sure looks like the Van Saar have a theme and it’s not just “Radiation and Technology.” They seem to have an affinity for spiders. We had a closer look at their new Exo-suit with it’s many limbs. And now we’re got some new spider friends to meet courtesy of the Augmeks of House Van Saar.
“Cyberachnids are bred from Necromunda’s mutated spider population, and they’re cybernetically modified into loyal killing machines. If they’re not poisoning or tearing apart their enemies, they’re scaring them straight into their masters’ crosshairs.”
I don’t know what’s creepier – the fact that these spiders are bred from mutated spiders, the fact that House Van Saar modified them further, or the fact that they trained them to be loyal pets! That’s a creepy-crawly for you. Also, are they still technically spiders? I’m trying to count the limbs and some of them only appear to have six instead of eight. Then again, they are MUTATED (and the photo angles are probably hiding all their legs).
I see at least six legs…sometimes seven. I’ll just assume there are eight and try not to get too close to find out for sure.
And in case you were wondering, yes – they are still venomous! These Cyberachnids will pack a bite that matches their creep factor. You enemies will have to decide if it’s worth getting shot at to run away from these things or if they want to chance the bit of a Cyberachnid. I think a las-burn might leave a cooler scar…and I wouldn’t want to risk it.
Oh – about that Augmek. That is indeed a new lascannon.

Geez, creepy cyber-spiders AND a double barrelled lascannon? Look, maybe that whole “las-burns look cool” was a bad idea. House Van Saar is sounding MEANER than ever to deal with after these upgrades…
