RPG: ‘Critical Role’ Goes To Space This Week
That’s right folks, strap in your grav-harnesses, and make sure you’ve got plenty of ammo. A new one-shot is here and Critical Role is going to space.
Space is many things to many people. For some, it’s the final frontier. For others, it’s the only place left that hasn’t been corrupted by capitalism.
But for the crew at Critical Role and their fans, the Critters, space represents the next destination–the fulfillment of a long-awaited stretch goal from their eleven-million dollar campaign that led to the creation of an animated series, soon to be airing on Amazon.
But this stretch goal is no merchandise or peek behind the scenes. It’s a one-shot, led by Ashley Johnson of Blindspot and Critical Role fame. The one shot, unlocked when the campaign flew past $8.8 million, will take place this Thursday:

Ashley Johnson takes on the GM seat to guide players Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, and Travis Willingham through a homebrewed adventure in space! This one-shot was unlocked when backers met the final official stretch goal of The Legend of Vox Machina Kickstarter campaign.
The Nautilus Ark takes inspiration from many sci-fi survival horror films, and as such contains darker themes of isolation, body horror, and self-harm. Practice self-care and use your best judgment to step away if needed.

When the last of humanity is in cryostasis on the Ark, it’s up to the intrepid crew of the Nautilus to ferry them to a fresh start on a new planet… If they can make it.
