Atomic Mass Games is teasing some of the new goodies for the DSD1 Dwarf Spider Droid Units. These spiders pack the heat!

Oh Spider Droids. Or should it be “AHHH Spider Droids?!” I’m not sure. These things look creepy to me because I’m not a fan of spiders. Plus the bug eyes freak me out a little bit. That said, in terms of weapons, these little guys pack a punch – take a look thanks to Atomic Mass Games.

“Additional weapon and programming upgrades for the Dwarf Spider Droid allow it to fit many battlefield roles in #StarWarsLegion. These new options make it capable of operating anywhere on your battle line!”

They come with a nose mounted weapon – either an Ion Blaster, Laser Cannon, or a Flamethrower.

Upclose, the Flamethrower is a Red and a White die – but don’t forget to read the Spray rule as it’s a LOT more dice than just two. The Ion Blaster throws out a chunk of dice, too – but it cycles. But if you manage to tag a vehicle or droid with it they are going to have a bad day.

The Laser Cannon is no slouch. It’s sort of the most “generic” weapon option. But hey, you can’t really go wrong with the PEW PEW PEW option. And the Droid also has the option for Attack Protocols which seems like a helpful option for laying down some firepower.

The Dwarf Spider is coming soon – which weapon loadout calls to you?

Expand your droid forces with the DSD1 Dwarf Spider Droid Unit Expansion for Star Wars: Legion! Favored by the Commerce Guild for the rugged durability and ease of manufacture, these four-legged, dome-shaped mechanical arachnids feature powerful, centrally mounted armaments capable of fulfilling a wide variety of battlefield roles.

Within this expansion, you’ll find everything you need to add a DSD1 Dwarf Spider Droid to your Separatist armies as a support unit. This droids versatile nature is captured in the finely detailed, unpainted hard plastic miniature that can be customized with a nose-mounted laser cannon, flamethrower, or ion blaster. These physical modifications have a practical application in eight upgrade cards that invite you to outfit your DSD1 Dwarf Spider Droid with a variety of weapons and battle protocols.

Normally, I’d see a spider and say “kill it with fire!” but what do you do when the spider is the one with the flamethrower?
