“Each Exemplary Battle campaign will contain an army list entry, empowering you to build and play a unit detailed in the battle’s lore, as well as photographs of one or more examples of the new unit, painted by keen hobbyists from around the Forge World studio.”

The first of these packs is The Battle of Pluto: Hydra’s Devastation. This is a 12-page PDF that covers the skirmishes between the Alpha Legion and the Imperial Fists. It contains the lore, a full suite of missions and rules, deployment maps, objectives, and examples of the painted units that would have been a part of the conflict. You can download it below:

The three missions included will take you from the initial surprise attack from the Alpha Legion, to the Imperial Fist response, and then to the epic throw down between Primarchs Rogal Dorn and Alpharius (or is it). These missions are designed to use both the Horus Heresy: Age of Darkness Rules as well as the Zone Mortalis rules, too. But realistically, you can tweak the scenarios to fit the terrain and board space you have available.

The Horus Heresy is approaching Holy Terra – which side will you chose?
