Age of Sigmar: 5 Creepy Models From The Mortal Realms
Halloween is fast approaching – it’s time to check out 5 creepy models from the Mortal Realms of the Age of Sigmar!
We did this one for the Grimdark already so it’s time we tackled the Mortal Realms. In an effort to avoid double-dipping, we’re going to not count any of the previous Daemon Models, too. In fact, we’re going to skip all the Daemon Models this time completely. It’s not that they aren’t creepy – it’s just that we could make a list that is entirely Chaos Daemons and that’s just too simple! So here are some models from AoS that we find super creepy (and aren’t also Chaos Daemons).
Abhorrant Ghoul King on Royal Terrorgheist
There’s lot of variations of the Zombie Dragon but this one is our creepiest pick. Why? Well, aside from the fact that the zombie dragon is already literal skin and bones with exposed musculature (which is disturbing enough) we also get a ghoul on top. And not just any ghoul, but an Abhorrant Ghoul King. Ghouls in AoS are already creepy enough as they eat the flesh of the dead in a cannibalistic way but when you pair that with a zombie dragon and really think about it the whole model is just plain disturbing.
Gorgers
This one is simple yet creepy. Gorgers are from the Ogor and they are basically emaciated Gutbusters. The paint job is doing some work here for sure, but the distended jaw is plenty creepy. And what’s up with all the bone spikes in their flesh?! Yeah…this one is pretty creepy.
Vengorian Lord
We could fill this list with creepy models from the Death Range but this is the last one. We’ve opted for the Vengorian Lord because the top 1/2 looks like a creepy Nosferatu vampire (which, again, already plenty creepy). but then you look down the model and it’s “OMG, what is going on now!?” The weird wings, the creepy backside, the monsterous claws and tail – yeah, that went from Bram Stoker’s Dracula to the nightmare realm REAL quick.
Bloodwrack Shrine
Creepy Medusa snake-lady bathing in a caldron of blood flanked by two BDSM murder witches all riding a murderous staircase. That about sums that one up.
Arachnarok Spider
It’s a BIG-ASS SPIDER. You ever play against an army with one? You ever play a game next to a table with one?! Catch one of these models out of the corner of your eye and you will do a double take. Did it move? No…no, of course not. It’s just plastic…haha….ha…KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!
That’s our list. I’m going to go out in the sunshine now where the spiders can’t get me.
