D&D: WizKids Unveils Gigantic Tarrasque Mini
WizKids has announced a new gargantuan “miniature” and this time it’s none other than the walking calamity, the Tarrasque. This one is huge folks.
Putting the Icon in Icons of the Realms, WizKids has recently unveiled a gargantuan new “miniature” that gives even the massive Tiamat figure a run for her money. Not content to leave any CR 30 stone unturned, WizKids recently unveiled a new Tarrasque miniature. The release is a double-edged sword because everyone wants a tarrasque mini–but nobody wants to see it roll up on the table.
The new figure is over 11 inches tall and 15.5 inches (final dimensions subject to change) from its gnashing maw to its destructive tail. That’s right– you get almost a foot of city-destroying kaiju goodness out of this cataclysm on legs. And the detail on this beast is incredible. Just take a look at some of the close-up shots:
There’s scoring and pitting on its horns and chitinous spines. You can also see bite marks where other monsters have tried to take a bite out of the tarrasque just like Scruff McGruff takes a bite out of crime. But what really gets me is the texture of the skin. It’s got such a nice reptilian pattern to it– you can practically feel the ground shaking as the tarrasque lumbers onto the field. Of course, pre-orders are open now for this beefiest of chonks, but with an estimated ship date of September 2022, you won’t see the release of the Tarrasque figure for almost a year.
Tarrasque – $419.99
Standing over 11 inches tall and 15.5 inches (final dimensions subject to change) from its gnashing maw to its destructive tail, this legendary Tarrasque is possibly the most dreaded monster of the Material Plane. It is widely believed that only one of these creatures exists, though no one can predict where and when it will strike.
