D&D: ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ Adds New Class and Weaponized Salami in ‘Patch 6’
Baldur’s Gate 3’s newest patch will unveil a new class and allow you to dual-wield salami. Find out more at EGX this week!
If ever you needed proof that Baldur’s Gate 3 is doing everything it can to emulate the feel of an actual, real-life tabletop game of D&D, let it be the fact that the next patch will allow you to dual wield salted, spiced meats. If that’s not something that every player tries at least once during the course of a D&D game, then roll me a d20 to seduce a catfish.
The biggest patch yet is coming, according to the latest update from Larian, and with it comes Meat & Magic. Larian Studios will reveal their newest patch, and the newest class to be added to Baldur’s Gate 3 at EGX London 2021, which is happening this week. Per Larian’s announcement:
Patch 6 is almost here, and we’re excited for you to get your hands on it! It’s our biggest ever patch for Baldur’s Gate 3. If you’re attending EGX this week in London, you’ll get an exclusive preview…featuring a new playable class. Who’s ready to make some magic?
We also have something special in Patch 6 for those of you who watched Twitch Plays: A Most Noble Sacrifice. If you like the sound of meat hitting meat (stop giggling), then you’ll love the latest addition to your arsenal – the equippable Salami. Yes, they can be dual wielded.
Now we don’t know exactly what the new class is, but based on the teaser, we can take a guess at what it might be. There are only three magic-using classes left to add into Baldur’s Gate 3: Paladin, Bard, and Sorcerer. With a hint heavily suggesting magic, our best bet is probably the magic-using sorcerer. As mentioned, the new patch will be the biggest yet, weighing in at around 60 GB, which means there’s probably more than just another class in there–but who knows how much code it takes to make Salami into a weapon?
