Warhammer 40K: Previews – Next Two Codexes Confirmed
Games Workshop has confirmed the next two codexes on the way – It’s Adeptus Custodes and Genestealer Cults!
We’ve been waiting for confirmation for a while now and GW confirmed it today. We now know the two codexes coming in December:
The Adeptus Custodes book will have the full army lists for the Adeptus Custodes along with the Sisters of Silence joining them in full as well. The Talons of the Emperor are back and the new book features ways to run a combined force of Custodes and Sisters of Silence as a unified fighting force. There’s also going to be a Sisters of Silence HQ choice! You can bet this new update will bring the army in line with 9th edition.
The Genestealer Cult are getting a new book also and their book is looking pretty creepy (at least from the cover). Furthermore, GW teased that the new book features some great new ways to play the army including some sneaky new ways to play the army. A lot of the issues the army has faced in the previous edition in term of things like Command Points have been addressed, too. I’m curious to see how this one pans out. The idea of sandwiching a target unit between two GSC units and getting some bonuses to shooting them sounds intriguing.
The new codexes are coming out in time for the new Battle Box which is slated for later this year.
