Warhammer 40K: Previews – ‘Shadow Throne’ Brings The Genestealers Cult To Terra
There’s something rotten on Holy Terra. Time to send in the Adeptus Custodes to fight for the Shadow Throne!
Games Workshop showed off a new battle box called Shadow Throne that pits the Genestealer Cult vs the Adeptus Custodes. And the fight takes place on Terra!
Yep! That’s right folks. Holy Terra is being threatened by a Genestealer Cult and the Adeptus Custodes have been called in (along with the Sisters of Silence). This threat has to be stopped before the Shadow of the Warp comes to devour Terra itself. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves…Check out contents!
Inside the box there are two armies to start. And you probably can see the two new models on the way, too…
First up is the Adeptus Custodes Blade Champion. Designed to be a new character that is a bit of an enemy head-hunter, the Blade Champion is rocking a massive sword and is charging headlong into battle.
The Genestealer Cult is bringing the Reductus Saboteur – a trap-placing pro! Watch out for all the bombs on the battlefield. I love the two different head options available to make this model a bit more interesting!
I can’t wait to check out the lore for this one. We’re going to Terra, baby! And there is going to be a fight for the Shadow Throne…oh man. So cool. The Battle Box is heading to stores “before the end of the year.”
