Well that was unexpected. Here comes the Inquisition to battle the Tyranids in War Zone Octarius Book 1: Rising Tide.

Games Workshop revealed the Table of Contents for the new book War Zone Octarius Book 1: Rising TideComing out of nowhere is a bunch of new updates for the Inquisition! Take a look at what’s coming your way soon.

via Warhammer Community

“The book is full of new lore and rules covering some of the conflict’s main players, and it charts the Inquisition’s desperate attempts to stop warmongering armies spreading into the wider galaxy. With a veritable tide of background information, Crusade rules, and codex supplements for two major factions, there’s plenty for you to sink your teeth into.”

So right off the bat we can see a bunch of new stuff. Codex Supplement: Cadia is one we’ve already seen previews of – hopefully it lives up to the hype.

There’s a new Kill Team Strike Force – which is for the Deathwatch. That’s probably going to be another company of Renown to build and play with based on the Restrictions/Benefits. Along with Warlord Traits, Relics, and Stratagems this could breathe some life into the Deathwatch.

We also are getting a ton of updates to the Fortifications Datasheets. Maybe those will come into fashion again with these updates. I’m curious if they have gotten any major re-works or if these are mostly points/power level adjustments and re-prints.

There’s also the unexpected update for the Inquisition. All your favorite Inquisitors are listed as well as a generic Inquisitor option and some support choices, too. It also looks like they are getting their own bells and whistles with more Warlord Traits, a psychic discipline, and Relics. It’s almost a full codex update…almost.

And then we get into the Tyranids which we’ve already seen some previews of also. This could be a nice boost to the Hive Mind – but I’m still hoping for a full codex update along with some new models for my personal brood.

What are you most looking forward to in the new Rising Tide book?
