Warhammer Day is happening again tomorrow and Games Workshop has some big reveals planned. Here’s what we’re hoping for.

If you didn’t know or missed the announcement, Warhammer Day is tomorrow. As part of the celebration, GW is hosting another Online Preview which we’re pretty excited about. You’ll be able to watch the show online via their Twitch Channel. We’ll also be hanging out watching and keeping up with the show so you can pop in on Saturday to catch-up on anything you might have missed.

Having said all that – we’ve still got some things we’d like to see and some predictions for Saturday. So let’s get into it!

We know that we’re going to see things from these six game systems. But what are we going to see from each? That’s what we’re going to go over!

Warhammer 40,000 – The Next Codexes

We got the announcement yesterday that the T’au are slated for a release in 2022. We also know that there are two codexes coming in December 2021. We have our suspicions of what these two new codexes will be and we might FINALLY get some confirmation for them. I’m hoping that GW reveals these codexes AND also shows off some new models on the way for both. I’m also hoping that we see more of the Holiday offerings…if we have those this year. GW mentioned the battle boxes featuring two armies, maybe we’ll get an update on those, too.

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar – Chaos 3.0

Our writer Clint already covered the three things he’d like to see in relation to the AoS sphere of games. He mentioned a new battlebox for the game which seems like a pretty safe bet. But he also mentioned something that was a previous reference from GW – a new Chaos faction release for AoS 3.0. We’ve been waiting patiently for this mysterious new faction to rise up. Could it be the return of the Chaos Dwarves? Hints are in the lore and the arrival of the Hobgrots was a big nod. Or maybe this is a tease that the Umbraneth are inbound? Could they be working for the forces of Chaos now? Wouldn’t that be quite the twist.

If that doesn’t pan out, I’m hoping for a new Chaos Battletome. I know the Skaven book is looking a bit long in the tooth and there are lots of other options. In fact, I’m really hoping that GW announces which Battletomes are getting updates next! We’ve only gotten two for the new edition thus far and they are looking pretty. The new layout is nice and the updated rules for both factions seem great — so who’s next? Hopefully we’ll find out tomorrow.

 Blood Bowl – New Team(s) & Pitch

GW has been banging out a constant stream of teams, cards, pitches and ‘Big Guy’ Models for Blood Bowl. At this point I’m not sure what or who else is left for them to show off as they have really hit all the bases with refreshes of a bunch of teams and fantastic new models. I’m sure they still have some classics to revisit but I’m sure they’ve got even more up their sleeves. I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for this game that keeps on chugging along!

Warcry – Red Harvest Full Reveal

We’ve seen the teases and we’re looking forward to what this reveal will be. We know there are at least TWO new warbands on the way. We’ve seen the two leaders but who else is following them? The sculpts look cool and we can’t wait to see what else is coming to Warcry with his new set.

Warhammer: Underworlds – More Decks and Warbands For Next Season

We know that GW has a roadmap for  Warhammer Underworlds. We also know that they are teasing at least two new warbands for the future. We’re expecting at least one to get revealed and hopefully some more info on the Rivals Decks that are coming soon. Fingers crossed on this one.

Horus Heresy – New Models And…

We’re likely to see some new models teased for the Horus Heresy. But this game has been going for a while without a rules update and I’m starting to wonder if that’s in the cards or not. I don’t know if GW is ready to move the game to the more current 9th edition version or if they are going to continue with the old ruleset. That split happened with the 7th/8th edition rules and the system has a full set of rules as well. Perhaps we’ll get more info on the Siege of Terra. Maybe a new boxed set for that event? The Black Library did have a timeline to bring that conflict to an end, right? We’ll see how this one goes.

So that’s what we’re expecting/hoping to see – what are you wanting from the Saturday Preview?
