Warhammer Day: Previews – Dungeon Bowl Returns
Dungeon Bowl is coming back to the tabletop with a new way to play Blood Bowl in the subterrain catacombs!
Players of a certain vintage might remember a variation on Blood Bowl that took place beneath the colleges of magic. This maze-like game of Blood Bowl was called Dungeon Bowl and it’s coming back with a vengance!
The concept is simple…It’s Blood Bowl mixed with a dungeon crawler! Somewhere in the dungeon is the football that the teams are looking for – find the ball, and get it to the “endzone” and score. The catch? This isn’t your typical pitch. Avoid traps, fight through the narrow corridors, and deal with the opposing team in this crazy mash-up.
The Teams are also different. These aren’t your standard Blood Bowl teams (although they do use the same players). The teams are themed around the different colleges of magic. The eight schools pull from various races and factions from the world and create a really unique mix of players on the teams.
The College of Fire team has a mix of Dwarves and Ogres – it’s a hard hitting and slow moving team. It’s perfect for clogging up choke points in the dungeons below.
The College of Shadow team is made of some quick moving and agile elements. They are going to be very hard to out run in the tunnels and corridors of Dungeon Bowl.
It’s a classic brought back to the tabletop and it’s a fun spin on Blood Bowl!
