Warhammer+ Teases ‘Blacktalon’ With Pre-Production Images
Next year Warhammer+ will be adding Blacktalon to the roster of shows and we’re getting a handful of teasers today!
Games Workshop has some pre-production images from the upcoming animation. Planned for a launch next year, Blacktalon focus on the Stormcast Eternal’s character Neave Blacktalon. While the details about the story are being kept under wraps we’re at least getting some cool concept art to gawk at today.
“Concept sketches such as these really capture the ferocity of her character with her iconic twin axes framed by a beast-skin cape. The series gives us a look at the many varied and awe-inspiring vistas of the Mortal Realms – check out this shot of Neave travelling through a sundered and desolate landscape. “
I wonder where she could be travelling…Ghur perhaps? Shyish? It’s not just Neave Blacktalon we’re getting a look at either. It’s going to be cool to see how GW pictures the various Mortal Realms she’ll be visiting. And she probably won’t be travelling alone.
This is a travelling companion for Neave – it’s a mysterious Idoneth Aelf. This is just a concept sketch so it’s subject to change – but this does open up a lot of questions.
Blacktalon is on a mission and that means she’s going to have some folks trying to stop her. We’re also getting a look at some of her foes as well. Her initial introduction was from the Blight War and she as facing off against the forces of Nurgle. Guess who’s back…
Yep! Get ready to see the Blightkings moving in their gross glory. I’m looking forward to seeing these fellas moving and fighting against Blacktalon. For now, just rest easy knowing they are coming to Warhammer+ next year!
Warhammer+ Delays Battle Report A Week
Games Workshop is pushing back the release of Battle Report by a week:
“This week’s Warhammer+ Age of Sigmar Battle Report has been pushed back for a week so that it can receive some finishing touches and be as excellent as it can possibly be – expect a titanic clash between the Stormcast Eternals and the monstrous mammoths of the Beastclaw Raiders next Wednesday!”
We’ll have to wait one more week before we see this epic looking throwdown. I do wonder what’s coming out next week along with Battle Report. But for now, if you’re wondering what IS going on be available today on Warhammer+ GW has a graphic for that:
Obviously Battle Report got pushed, but everything else should be going live today! I’m going to have to check out the new Hammer and Bolter show Fangs this week for sure!
