MTG: Vampiric Bloodline Commander Deck
There’s one other Crimson Vow Commander pre-constructed deck, and this one celebrates the Vampiric Bloodlines of Innistrad.
That’s right friends, it’s time once more to step into the mists of Innistrad, where we’re taking a look at the other Crimson Vow Commander preview. This time we’ve traded geists and 1/1 spirit tokens with flying for a new, black/red delve into the vampiric bloodlines of Vapmiric Bloodline. Let’s take a look at what they do.
Strefan, Maurer Progenitor is your Commander. He lets you create Blood tokens (which let you pay one, tap, and discard a card and sacrifice the token to draw a card). On top of all that, you can cheat in big Vampires with enter the battlefield effects without paying the cost.
Timothar, Baron of Bats is another card that plays well with Strefan, which lets you turn a Vampire into a Bat that can potentially return to the battlefield if you have a way of making sure your bats can get through the deck.
And alongside this, you have the Partnered cards, Kamber and Laurine, a pair of rogues who will fuel you as creatures die, and will ensure that big beefy creatures stay away from you.
You’ll be running a lot of vampires with this deck, and Crossway Troublemakers really enables this. This is a newly revealed card that will help pump you up and enable you to keep advantage as your Vampires die and bounce back with Timothar.
Another interesting piece of this deck is the Markov Enforcer, which can fight any targets any time you bring a new vampire onto the battlefield. This is some great removal. It comes in, kills a creature, and can potentially kill at least one other creature per turn you summon some Vammpires.
It’s expensive, but Strefan will help you. But then there are plenty of spells as well:
Olivia’s Wrath can be a one-sided boardwipe if all you have is vampires in your deck (and hey guess what this deck does). Or how about Imposing Grandeur:
Which lets you cycle your hand if you need to. There’s a lot of ways to keep pace with card advantage.
All in all, these MTG cards feel like a pretty solid vampire deck with a lot of fun riders/mechanics in the works.
