The Book of Boba Fett‘s trailer dropped yesterday and there’s a lot we’re looking forward to about this return to the galaxy far far away.

Less than twenty-four hours ago, the first Book of Boba Fett trailer hit the internet. The preview showed us a few things that we’re excited to see more of.

Since it was announced, we’ve been excitedly looking forward to the latest Star Wars spinoff series The Book of Boba Fett to hit Disney+. The extremely popular title character and the relatively new fan-favorite Fennec Shand are a compelling and enjoyable duo to root for.

When last we saw Boba and Fennec, they were walking into the late Jabba the Hutt’s palace and relieving Bib Fortuna of the crime throne. Since the end of The Mandalorian‘s second season, it’s been clear that there were crime lord goals in store for these two.

From the looks of the trailer, crime-lording on Tatooine is exactly what they’re up to. Some shots show Transdoshans, Aqualish, and Klatooinians sitting down to an awkward meal with Fett and Fennec. And from the looks of it, Boba is attempting to bring Jabba’s former underworld underlings into his fold.

Jabba’s Gamorrean guards standing around Boba makes it clear that there’s a new boss in town. Fennec warns that they watch their words, and that makes us think that negotiations could be going better.

Other scenes show an Ithorian in a building that’s much nicer than Jabba’s palace and in robes that say, “Hello, I am another crime boss here on Tatooine, ask me how!” We also see Boba and Fennec fighting guards wearing the same emblem as this Ithorian. So we can only assume that attempts to play nice with other crime lords are also going less than smoothly.

These fight scenes make up a vast majority of the trailer. It seems like the Tatooine underworld and galactic gang politics are going to be a big part of this series– if not the main plot.

We also catch glimpses of a large city sitting in a crater. Could this be Tatooine’s largest city, Mos Eisley? Sure, it could be the de facto capital Mos Espa, or any other large city on the planet. A quick search will show you that there are quite a few to chose from. Most– or maybe all– of the cities have gang activity.

The Book Of Boba Fett trailer also pays a visit to the desert-dwelling Tusken Raiders. In The Mandalorian, Boba Fett could be seen skillfully wielding one of their gaffi sticks. Is he on good terms with them? Honestly, we wouldn’t be surprised.

And finally, if you asked yourself, “What the KRIFF was that spider monstrosity at the beginning?!”, we’ve got answers for you.

Those are the B’omarr Monks: a religious order who isolated themselves from all physical sensation. Like, to the point where they put their brains in jars and then put those jars on spider legs.

Jabba’s palace used to be one of their monasteries. While it would be very fun, I doubt this show will dissolve into a spider-monk fight to get their house back. Instead, you’ll just have to see those creatures walk by and know that they are all monk-brain jars wandering the desert. You’re welcome.

Are you looking forward to The Book of Boba Fett? What are your hopes for this show? Who would your dream Star Wars spinoff series be about? Let us know in the comments!
