‘The Witcher’ Season 2 Peek at New Monster
The second season of The Witcher is going to have higher stakes and bigger monsters.
The show’s story is moving through Blood of Elves and into Time of Contempt this season. Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are thrust into a war that takes over the Continent. The Lion Cub of Cintra is going to discover many things about her linage and her monster-killing powers while training at Kaer Morhen.
The fights in the first season were only a preview of what is to come. This new season looks huge in comparison. A war between empires is brewing, as is a massive fight between sorceresses and sorcerers. All while Ciri and Geralt take down some nasty look monsters, like this centipede-inspired beast. I can’t wait.
New monsters await. Are you ready? ⚔️

Hopefully, we’ll get a new bestiary for this season. The ones from the first season were great – you can watch part one below and check out part two here.
The official synopsis for season two…
Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.
The season’s cast sees the return of Henry Cavill as Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Freya Allan as Ciri, Joey Batey as traveling bard Jaskier.
The Witcher season two arrives on Netflix on December 17th.
