Total War: Warhammer 3 – Ogre Kingdoms Lords And Heroes
The roster for the Ogre Kingdoms is as big and gluttonous as the behemoths that it comprises. Check out the Ogre heroes and Lords.
Let’s talk about monsters. Specifically Ogres, whose Maw-driven hunger causes them to rampage and roam all across the world, looking for the tastiest, most delectable cuts of meat. As well as all of the other cuts of meat. And the bones. And the gristle, gotta have the gristle. Basically if it was once raw and wriggling, then it goes in the pot.
And if you’re playing Ogre Kingdoms, the surest way to get things in the pot is by bringing the biggest and best heroes you can. And when it comes to that, Ogres have a lot going for them. Let’s take a look:
We start with the most well-recognized of Ogre lords, the Tyrant. Tyrants are the biggest and the strongest of the Ogres in their areas. They rule by virtue of their sheer physical might–whoever wishes to take their place will have to out-violence the Tyrant in order to step up.
And Ogre Tyrants are especially good at violence. As they fight, theyeat. And as they eat, they are able to unleash special powers from the great stewpots that Ogres carry with them:
- Dismember
- Hex (Area) that decreases acceleration, speed, and charge speed, helpful for running enemies down or stopping an advance.
- Massacre
- Augment (Area) that gives additional armour-piercing weapon damage, base weapon damage, and grants units the ability to cause terror.
- Butcher
- Regeneration on target unit that gives a very high healing per second and gives significant vigour regeneration.
Then there are the Slaughtermasters. These are the most powerful Butchers in an Ogre tribe, and they’re capable of dismembering even the toughest foes. They wield the fearsome power of Gut Magic to great effect, and can cast spells from either the Lore of the Great Maw or the Lore of the beasts.
Speaking of Butchers–even a non-Slaughtermaster Butcher can be deadly in their own right. Adorned in meat hooks (and often times meat dripping therefrom), a single Butcher can help turn the tide of a pitched battle. And like their Lord versions, they too wield the Lore of the Great Maw or Lore of Beasts.
Firebellies, on the other hand, are priests of the Fire Mouth. They are both easily amused and easily incensed, and they are possessed of a powerful inner fire that is both metaphorical and literal. They have access to the Lore of Fire, as well as powers that stem from their eponymous burning bellies:
- Fire Breath
- Magic missile ability dealing fire, AP and explosive damage.
- Flame Incarnate
- Ward Save ability that grants melee damage reflection.
- Eruption
- Explosion attack dealing reasonable fire and magic damage.
Finally, let’s take a look at Hunters. These solitary wanderers are fiercely independent hunters–sometimes they are outcasts and exiles–but all should be feared because an Ogre Hunter does not have a tribe to rely on. Which means that they are capable of feeding themselves and satisfying (at least temporarily) their own voracious appetites.
Not only are they powerful in their own right, but Ogre Hunters can tame (and be mounted on) Stonehorns. Which makes them a deadly duo.
Good luck and good eatin’
