Why Amazing Encounters & Places?
This book can be used in several ways, all of them aimed at supporting you, the GM, in making your life easier so you can focus on what really matters: the characters and their stories.
Amazing Encounters & Places will add fantastic experiences to your game and make the GM’s life easier. You get 8 locations, 56 encounters, and over 64 maps with over 300 versions. All encounters provide guidelines that allow you to adapt them to any of the Tiers of Play, making this content scalable from 1st-level to 20th-level!
CZRPG has focused on encounter-writing for over a year, and map-making for over 18 months, so we’re offering you what we do best: encounters and maps. Your players will be awed by our highly detailed maps, and you’ll appreciate the quality of our encounters, which range from 500 to 3,500 words.
Location Structure
Although the process of making encounters fully scalable is complex, we’ve organized the content of the locations to make things as simple as possible for you.
Ready-to-Use Lore
Each featured location provides enough lore for you, the GM, to get started but still allows room for you to add your own touch. All this is supported by art and a regional map.
Independent Encounters
Each of these detailed and thorough encounters can be used in a myriad of ways, allowing you to provide an amazing experience to your players. Many of the encounters feature new creatures, and all are scalable for all Tiers of Play and their levels. In addition, gorgeous and realistic maps will add to the immersion if your group is into maps and grids.
Optional Adventure
With a short background, all six encounters can be tied together into a scenario featuring a final additional encounter to give the location closure. The best thing about this is that it’s completely optional; the additional encounters are there to provide you with more opportunities to give your players fun times.
Realistic Maps
This project offers an incredible quantity of highly detailed and quality maps with a realistic touch. You can get up to 64 unique maps, and over 300 versions and variations, including some phased maps. Versions usually include sunny, rain, night, and tree transparency, all gridded and gridless.
Maps. Lots of Maps!
Although you could get only the PDF, you can pledge to the tiers which offer an impressive variety of maps. In total, you can get up to 64 unique maps which account for more than 300 versions.
The versions are either variations, like adding a camp in a clearing, or they could be weather variants, like night, rain, etc. By default, all maps are created in a sunny setting to take advantage of advanced lighting and shading techniques. Maps with trees offer versions with tree transparency. Finally, all maps include gridded and gridless versions.
It doesn’t stop there! You can get some (or all!) maps in a physical/printed version. Poster-sized maps (75 cm x 100 cm or 30’ x 40’) or smaller, turning your in-person game into a truly immersive experience. Physical maps are available via Add-on and Pledge Manager, where you can select how many maps, and which maps you want printed. However, the Amazing and Ultimate Experience get ALL 64 printed maps.
Finally, if this wasn’t enough, you can get yourself even more digital maps via add-ons, in which you can find bundles of terrain-themed maps for coasts, forests, mountains, and swamps.
To get an idea on the maps provided in the main product and in the addons, check out the map gallery. You can also find the map sizes within each location and the average individual cost per printed map. Of course, acquiring more printed maps will lower the cost.
