Games Workshop has a teaser for a new T’au Pathfinder model coming. Want to take a guess at who it could be?

The T’au Empire are getting a new Pathfinders kit soon. We know this from the fact that Kill Team: Chalnath has a new sprue for the old set.

What’s interesting is that this new sprue has a ton of new bits and they are all compatible with the existing sprue:

You can then use all those bits to ‘update’ your Pathfinders with some new poses and war gear:

At the time of writing, this is the only place to get these bits…but we also know there is a new T’au codex coming in 2022 and that these sprues could be easily reboxed into a new, updated Pathfinder box. But that’s probably not why you’re here — you want to know about the teaser from GW. Well here you go:

Before we go, we’ve seen one more Pathfinder sneaking around the edge of our vision, and we managed to catch a quick snap of them. Who could this be?”

The reason we showed off the new sprue and squad was to compare those bits to this new silhouette. While some of the bits are similar they aren’t 1:1 replicas. That can only mean this is a new model and based on the look of things, this is a new character.

Now, GW isn’t leaving us completely hanging on this one. We at least know it’s going to be revealed eventually by the WarCom site. However, we know it’s Pathfinder from their hint text above. Who could this special character be? That’s up for debate! But this is one more kit you can mark down as inbound for the T’au. I wonder what other surprises GW has in store for them.

Confirmed:

  • New T’au Codex in 2022
  • New T’au Pathfinders (with rules update)
  • New T’au Pathfinder Character

The teaser drip continues for the T’au Empire.

Who do you think this character is? What else do you think GW has in store for the T’au?
