This past weekend was Warhammer Day and we’ve had some time to pick our 5 Favorite Reveals from the celebration!

In case you slept in on Saturday and missed the fun, it was Warhammer Day 2021. Games Workshop showed off some cool, upcoming things and finally answered some questions about what’s next. But rather than go through everything once again, we’re just hitting some of our favorite reveals so let’s dive in!

Shadow Throne

While the reveals of the two Codexes were a big deal the battle box is arguably a bigger deal. Why? Because this battle takes place on TERRA.  A Genestealer Cult managed to propagate on Terra, the seat of the Imperium’s power and home of the Emperor himself. That means 1) a Genestealer Patriarch made it to Terra and 2) Generations of Genestealer Cultists have been surviving on Terra to the point that the Adeptus Custodes have gotten involved. Lore-wise, this is a BIG deal. If the Cult gets large enough, you know what comes after…And just think of the implications of a Hive Fleet coming to Terra.

Red Harvest Miniatures and Terrain

Red Harvest looks amazing. The Terrain in particular is quite impressive. I personally appreciate how vertical the pieces are and how thematic everything fits together. The look of these twisted mining sites is going to be a blast to battle over. And then there are the two new Warbands which are just plain awesome.

Very cool stuff! I can’t wait to get my hands on these two warbands and get some games in with them.

Dungeon Bowl Returns

The reveal that Dungeon Bowl is coming back has us excited to see what GW does with it. Blood Bowl has a specific vibe and it’s an established game from GW at this point. So why not reach even further back in the archives and bring back the classic spin on a Blood Bowl inspired Dungeon Delve. Plus, the video is just SOOO retro:

The minis might not be new but the dungeon aspect has us excited nonetheless. We’re also looking forward to see how GW chops up the players for the various schools of magic, too!

Blackpoweder’s Buccaneers

It’s an Ogor with a misfit crew of Gnoblars and pirate themed creatures. They have a monkey! This was just a fun reveal overall and we’re looking forward to this whacky warband in the next season of Warhammer Underworlds.

Jaghatai Khan, the Primarch of the White Scars

It’s the final Primarch to get a miniature from Forge World! That’s enough of a reason to be excited about this reveal. It also helps that the model is pretty impressive, too. White Scars fans, the great Khan might be a little late to the party but he’s here now and everything is going to work out.

Well those are our 5 favorite reveals. There was more on the way – lots of new character miniatures as well as a new Battletome and more. What were you excited to see?
