Age of Sigmar: Holiday 2021 Battleforce – Points Breakdown
Those Age of Sigmar Battleforces are looking pretty solid but what are we getting in terms of points? Let’s run the numbers!
We did the pricing breakdowns already. But what we haven’t done is a points breakdown. Thankfully, we can thanks to the fact that GW provides all the points for Age of Sigmar online. And, because we have the unit/model count, we can easily punch those in to the Warscroll Builder to punch of a point value. Now we can figure out what the dollar-to-point ratio is in each box. With each box costing $210 we can quickly figure this all out. Time to dive in!
Quick note — many of these kits can be built in various versions. We’re going with the ones presented on the box. In the case of Character Kits, we’re going with the non-character option where presented.

As you can see based on the points-per-dollar amount, the Ossiarch Bonereaper box comes with the most points by a wide margin. If you’re just looking to get a 2k list up and running in the most dollar-to-points manner, that is the best option. If you purchased two boxes, you’d have well over 2000 points. If I were going to build an army from that, it would probably look like this:

That gives you some points to add in an Endless Spell, or go for the Triumph bid. Let me just say that I don’t think this army is going to be super competitive. Ideally you’d get a big hitter like Arkhan the Black, Katakros, or even Nagash…but we’re getting off topic now. The point is the core is solid. You’d just need to grow it from there.
