D&D: Champions Of Krynn – A New Dragonlance Adventure Inspired By The Gold Box Days
30-odd years on, and the Dragonlance Nexus has a sequel to the classic video game in book form! Check out Champions of Krynn.
Time is meaningless. If you ever needed proof, look at the last year or so. Or heck, look at Dragonlance. It’s not only back, but thanks to the work of dedicated fans, it’s getting a sequel for a 30-year-old video game.
The first chapter of Champions of Krynn is the spiritual sequel to the classic gold box Dragonlance that brought the world of Krynn to your PC.
And though Champions of Krynn is an adventure module that you can download, rather than a video game you can play through, as you can see, the gold box sprout is going strong. Just look at that art.

I am pleased to announce that a long awaited dream is actually coming to reality today. This chapter is created in the spirit of the original 90s gold box game, but is not the same tactical game that I spent hundreds of hours playing through. The locations, the people, the story is still intact but many of these things have been expanded.
As an avid lover of Dragonlance, Dungeons & Dragons, and the original gold box games, I can’t wait for a new generation to dive into the game and hear their tales.
Chapter 2 is well into the final stage of the writing process[.] Chapter 3 has begun to be outlined for playtesting. It’s a good day to be a fan of Dragonlance and through your support we can continue this process, so thank you.
Long Live the Lance!
Happy Adventuring
