Games Workshop Rumor Engine: ‘A Thorny Disposition’
It’s the final Rumor Engine of 2021 and this one has some barbs to stick you with.
Well it’s the last Rumor Engine of the year and honestly it’s been quite the trip in 2021. But don’t get all introspective just yet — we’ve got a picture to breakdown!
“The tyranny of the Advent Engine is over! We return to the loving embrace of the regular old Rumour Engine, which has never been twisted into horrifying new form by the ruinous powers of Chaos. Behold this glorious and untainted new image!”
So what are we looking at here? Well, it looks like a whip or cord with metal barbs on it. Who would use such a weapon? Well the Repentia are known to use whips – but not exactly like this.
The Wyches and Kabalite Warriors of the Drukhari are also fans of whips and some of their weapons have barbs, too:
But the style of both still seems…off. Their whips don’t seem as thin or as lithe. The whips of the Sisters and Dhurkhari are more enhanced with power sources. The whips from the Rumor Engine look like they are there just to cause pain on a more basic level. And who likes pain more than Slaanesh?
