Over the weekend two Commander Deck bundles briefly surfaced from the Amazon spoiler mines, giving us a glimpse at Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty.

With Innistrad well and truly horrored by Werewolves and Vampires, it’s probably for the best to leave it behind and instead go to a place that isn’t still probably hiding an eldritch horror in the moon. Or quite as full of ghosts.

And over the weekend, we got the tiniest glimpse of where Magic is headed next when two Commander Deck bundles briefly leaked on Amazon, revealing two sets for the upcoming Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty.

In case you weren’t aware, Neon Dynasty is a return to the Japanese-folklore inspired world of Kamigawa, only now it’s in the future. The cyberpunk future. So you can expect to see cybernetic parts and corporations alongside magic powers and telekinetically-enhanced agents. Though the listings have since been taken down, screenshots live on forever. Here’s a look at the two bundles, both of which retail for $71.98.

Presumably they’ll be back when Neon Dynasty’s release date is closer. First up, a deck titled Buckle Up.

As you can see it comes with a full Commander deck (with minimal packaging for less waste) so probably not the big fancy Commander display box. And alongside that you get a Deck Box and sleeves and dice.

You’ll find the same in the other bundle: Upgrades Unleashed.

Upgrades Unleashed, on the other hand, could be previewing a new mechanic. Upgrade is a mechanic on one of the Mystery Booster test cards back in 2019, Weaponized Scrap:

Although it’s a strange take on mutate, for sure. It comes onto the battlefield covering another artifact–but presumably this could be a way to upgrade a piece of equipment or what have you. Either way, Neon Dynasty is coming, so get ready for Magic’s take on the Cyberpunk genre.

What mechanic could be in Buckle Up?
