Warhammer 40k: Does the Meta Matter as Much as We Think – FTN
This week we talk about new Tau highlights and about THE META. What does THE META even mean?
Hi all,
Stats are stats as data is data. In a lot of cases you can make it mean whatever you need it to mean or not mean… I’m not trying to be vague here but with Games Workshop getting back into Matched Play events they are starting to release information on how these events went.
Win Rates have a lot of variance based on sample size, the pilots of those lists, the dice, the perfection to which the players played, the number of turns played, etc. etc.
To me, what is more meaningful is the go first win rate. The format, average player skill level, terrain and maybe even mission choice and order may have – for the first time in history – leveled the playing field on needing first turn. Is that legit?!
We front load the hobby talk on this episode and talk about where we are with certain projects. Hope you enjoy it and that you’re getting some time to work on your stuff! Every paint stroke you do today is a stroke you don’t have to do tomorrow!

FTN mostly focuses on Warhammer 40k, but you will see that in the first few episodes, we take a severe deep dive into nerdom. These have been a blast to record, and I hope they help pass the time for you. Please please please check out the new Forge The Narrative objective markers. These things look awesome.
