Warhammer 40K: New Gravis-Armoured Captain Inbound
Games Workshop has revealed the miniature teased yesterday and it’s a beefy new Gravis-Armoured Captain for the Space Marines!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Captain in Gravis-Armour. The last “close combat” version was released way back when the Primaris first showed up on the scene with Dark Imperium! And now we’ve got a newer version coming to the tabletop.
“He’s clearly been learning some new skills – he can now wield a chainsword* or a power fist instead of his power sword. We note that he’s still not mastered the shovel as a weapon yet, though.
Along with his swanky new servo skull, the Captain also comes with a choice of heads – take a look at the details of the miniature.”
That’s a mighty pose for a big ol’ Space Marine Captain. And if you prefer the power sword version, don’t worry, he’s got lots of options:
It looks like you’ve got a Servo-skull, Power Sword, and a different head to mess around with. Looks neat! He should fit nicely right along side the other two versions now:
Time to snag some Heavy Intercessors and slap him in your lists to run with them. That’s a lot of condensed firepower in a mean package.
Alternatively, Eradicators and Aggressors are also pretty deadly near a Captain. Just sayin’.
Whichever unit you choose to accompany this shiny new Captain will appreciate his leadership, we’re sure! Now if only there were “close combat” versions in Gravis Armour to really be a “hammer” unit…
What do you think of the new Captain?
