The Tome of Beasts is one of the best series of manuals full of monsters for 5th Edition. Kobold Press routinely knocks it out of the park with their 5E books. And the Tome of Beasts are home to some legendary monsters. If you want more powerful threats or unique monsters that will give your party pause, they’re all worth checking out.
Especially the final volume in the series, Tome of Beasts 3, Kickstarting now. That’s right, the Tome of Beasts 3 Kickstarter is live. And with it, you have the chance to snag a copy of the book– and even design your own monster.
The Tome of Beasts 3 will bring more than 400 new monsters to 5th Edition D&D. As it’s already more than 400% funded on Kickstarter, it’s merely a question of how many stretch goals can backers unlock? There’s a month left in the Tome of Beasts 3 Kickstarter, but here’s what we know so far:

The Tome of Beasts III will bring 400 new monsters to 5th edition, from ghost knight templars to riptide drakes as well as foul new fiends, challenging aberrations, and so much more. Not to mention: all Tome of Beasts III Kickstarter backers at the $29 level and up can submit an original monster design for possible publication.
In addition to the Tome of Beasts III hardcover and PDFs, this Kickstarter will fund the creation of 16 or more beautiful monster minis, four VTT editions for digital play, an exclusive engraved 7-dice set, and a ready-to-play Tome of Beasts III Lairs hardcover of fast, furious encounters and short adventures–so you can get these beasts on the table to play, fast!
Tome of Beasts 3 has a broad range of monsters. You’ll find cannon fodder, minibosses, and major villains littering the book. The Ghost Knight Templar, for instance, is a pretty harrowing threat. But you’ll find even more in the monster preview.
Tome of Beasts Kickstarter Stretch Goals
Of course, the real gold here are the stretch goals. In addition to the Tome itself, you can get your hands on miniatures for many of the monsters in the book. Here’s just a sampling.
And on top of that, the first several stretch goals have been unlocked, meaning there will be even more monsters even more minis, and monster lairs added to the book.
