Games Workshop Rumor Engine: ‘Imperium Phone Home’
There’s a new Rumor Engine out today and it’s helping you cut down on your cable bill by going with WiFi…or something.
Ever wonder if the Imperium is wired or wireless? No? Me either. But today we’re getting a look at a very fancy antenna array from this week’s Rumor Engine. Take a look for yourself!
“We’ve been thinking, since we’re a little way into the new year now, it’s time we had a tinker with the Rumour Engine. With any luck, we’ll be able to cure its long-running habit of only showing us a small portion of the models it sees in the future. The servitors have given it a few careful whacks with the spanners, and this is what they’ve got.”
So what are we looking at? It’s clearly an antenna array but for whom? From the style of it we can rule out all of the Xenos factions. Except for Genestealer Cults — perhaps they’ve stolen some Imperial Tech. It could also be a part of Chaos. That’s an option, too.
It’s got enough spindly bits that it could easily be a part of the Adeptus Mechanicus Range. Perhaps it’s a fancy Comms Array for them.
The Space Marines are also candidates here — their vehicles are fans for antennas. Of course if we’re mentioning Space Marines then Chaos could also be in the running. But that bit just isn’t spikey enough for me to be convinced.
