Warhammer 40K: Five New Combat Patrol Boxes Coming Soon
Games Workshop has plans for five more Combat Patrol Boxes to help jump start your collection and the T’au Empire are leading the charge!
If you’ve been wondering when we’d be seeing more Combat Patrol Boxes for the armies that recently got codexes then you’re in luck. Games Workshop has announced five new Combat Patrols coming over the next few months starting with the T’au and then branching back toward some other armies with recent codexes.
“All five of these boxes will help you get a playable force on the tabletop, perfect for getting involved with the first Season of Warhammer 40,000, in which the battle for control of Vigilus and the Nachmund Gauntlet continues.”

Overall, these boxes seem to be a good mix of options for starting a new army out. The Thousand Sons Combat Patrol is a good example as it’s more “generic” and yet has some good core options for that army with a dash of Eliteness. For most of these Combat Patrols, I could see a new player picking up two boxes to start a force or veterans just picking up one if they want to sprinkle some in their collection.
The T’au Box is being released first with the other boxes getting releases in the coming months. So you won’t have to wait too long for them to arrive.
