Warhammer 40K: Pricing Breakdown – Five New Combat Patrol Boxes
We’re taking a closer look at the five new Combat Patrol boxes and their pricing breakdowns!
Early this week Games Workshop announced all these new Combat Patrol boxes. We’re stoked to see these new sets coming soon. But which ones are going to be a good deal? We’ve got a few ideas but let’s take a look at the pricing breakdown for each one to find out.
T’au Combat Patrol
1x Ethereal (new) $35*
Total Individual MSRP = $228
*This model is new but we’re basing the price off of typical character prices from GW.
Grey Knight Combat Patrol
1x Librarian in Terminator Armour $31
5x Grey Knight Terminators $54
5x Grey Knight Strike Squad** $30
Total Individual MSRP = $175
**This is a 1/2 squad so we’re only counting it as 1/2 the total of a full squad which would be $60.
Thousand Sons Combat Patrol
1x Thousand Sons Sorcerer*** $35
5x Scarab Occult Terminators $60
Total Individual MSRP = $233
***This model isn’t entirely new but we’re basing the price off of typical character prices from GW.
Adeptus Custodes Combat Patrol
Total Individual MSRP = $218
Genestealer Cults Combat Patrol
Total Individual MSRP = $258
So What’s The Price Point?
Assuming these new sets follow suit of the current pricing point then they should clock in at $140. If that IS true then the best value would be the Genestealer Cults box which has an individual MSRP of $258. The worst value would be the Grey Knight box which only contains $175 in models. Not sure why GW didn’t just go for the full 10 man squad for the Grey Knights. It almost makes you wonder if that’s a popularity thing…
