Batman Arkham Games Likely Coming to Switch This August
Thanks to (probably) an intern hitting Publish too early, we got a good hint the Batman Arkham Games are coming to Switch.
French retailer WTT posted retail information for “Batman Arkham Collection – Switch” from Rocksteady Studios on their store page. But, they quickly deleted it. The store page noted the game will cost €59.99 and has a release date of August 31st.
Pulling up the page now only brings an error message reading “L’article demandé est indisponible, discontinué ou non publié.” This translates to “The requested article is unavailable, discontinued or not published.”
Typically, it’s easy to dismiss something like this. However, WTT had a similar slip-up with the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt port to Switch. So, this gives some credit to the rumors that Batman Arkham games are coming to Switch soon.
The Batman Arkham Collection includes Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight. The collection was released for Playstation, XBox and PC back in 2018. The only Batman Arkham title on any Nintendo console is Arkham City, which was released on the Wii U. However, the Wii U had notably low sales, so this almost doesn’t count.
This could be good for hyping up Rocksteady’s next title in the Arkham series, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The action-adventure game follows Task Force X (a.k.a. the Suicide Squad) on a mission to take down the Justice League. Currently, the game listed to release this year.
But rumors are circling the game will be delayed until 2023. So, we can only speculate if the Batman Arkham port will coincide with the Suicide Squad release.
