FF7 Anniversary Brings News of Upcoming ‘Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2’ Reveal
In conjunction with the 25th anniversary, Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 reveals are planned for later this year.
FFVII’s original director Yoshinori Kitase spoke during a special anniversary event for FFVII. He announced they would be revealing some of the first details about Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 sometime this year.

With how popular the game is, other series are also offering up their congratulations. They are probably also holding out hope that the Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 reveals come sooner rather than later.

What We Know So Far
All we really know at this point is that it has been confirmed that Naoki Hamaguchi, the co-director of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 1, will be taking over full directing duties.
Additionally, Nomura has stated that Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 will make more use of the PS5’s hardware capabilities. Part 1 definitely had some issues running on the hardware at launch. So, this is a good sign that Square Enix is paying attention.
What To Play While You Wait
While we all sit and wait, fans are not without options for more adventures in Gaia. While some games like Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis (an upcoming mobile RPG) and Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier (mobile battle-royale) will have filled the gap, they can’t hold a candle to the main event. Also, did you even know the planet in Final Fantasy VII is called Gaia? At least you learned something today.
