Warhammer 40K: New Voidscarred Corsairs Revealed
The Voidscarred Corsairs (or is it Corsair Voidscarred) have been revealed and now I want a whole army of them.
Games Workshop just showed off the new Corsairs for the Aeldari and they look awesome. A mix of Craftworlds, Drukhari, and maybe something extra, these Alien Ninja Pirates are here to plunder your booty!
“Corsairs launch daring raids from their sleek Aeldari ships, seeking wealth, prestige, and all the good times the galaxy has to offer. They represent part of the Warhammer 40,000 lore that has been with us for decades, and now they’re bringing their skills to Kill Team. You’d better believe these swift and deadly reavers will introduce a literal boatload of new tricks to the ultimate sci-fi skirmish game.”
These new models are seriously cool! I love the look and mix of the different Aeldari tech combined into one “unit” of Corsairs.
This new plastic kit is going to be first available in the upcoming Kill Team: Nachmund. It’s got a dizzying “host of options” so you can create highly individual fighters for your Kill Team. This should present some awesome opportunities for hobbyists out there to create the Corsairs of their dreams. It kind of makes me wish there was an entire Corsair army now…maybe the Ynnari can fill that void.
Sidenote: What IS The Name?
As a completely random aside, I really don’t know what to call them. GW has the name listed as both on the article on the WarCom site.
So…I’m just going to call them Corsairs from here on out.
If you want to play these new Corsairs in your games of 40k you totally can. They will have unit rules in the upcoming Codex: Aeldari. But your first crack at these models will be the new Kill Team: Nachmund.
What do you think of these Corsairs?!
