Warhammer 40K: Which Aeldari Units Missed The Switch To Plastic
The new Aeldari Codex is coming and we’ve got a tally of all the units Games Workshop skipped for a plastic glow-up.
We collated all the fancy new plastic Aeldari Kits coming soon and they are really cool. But which units missed the boat? Perhaps on the next run these units will get the plastic treatment.
Note: We’re skipping any currently plastic kits – Yes, that means Dire Avengers aren’t on this list but we just mentioned them so…there ya go.
Prince Yriel
The Corsair Prince is still in Finecast. It’s a shame, too. Especially with the new Corsair models coming soon. Perhaps an update is in the works for this Aeldari hero.
Asurmen
Oh man. The first of many of the Phoenix Lords on this list. I can’t wait to see what GW does when this model gets reworked.
Baharroth
Word on the street is that Swooping Hawks are going to cause some problems when the new codex drops. Too bad their Phoenix Lord is still stuck in Finecast.
Fuegan
Fuegan is my homie. Too bad he’s also starting to show his age. One day, the Fire Dragons and he will get updated and they are going to be HAWT.
Karandras
This is another model that looked great back in the day but now is showing its age. I can’t wait to see this character get the Glow-up he deserves.
Illic Nightspear
The closest thing to a Range Phoenix Lord we’re going to get. Too bad Illic is still in Finecast, too.
Fire Dragons
I got my Fire Dragons back when the unit was metal. I’m REALLY glad I did. They still hold up even if they are starting to show their age a bit.
Striking Scorpions
Another unit that I’m also super glad I picked up back when they were metal. They could use a plastic treatment, but other kits probably need it more…although they are Finecast now.
Swooping Hawks
This is a unit that could really fly off the shelves with the new codex. Doubly-so if they were in plastic.
Warp Spiders
Who weeps for the Warp Spiders? ME. I do. What edition are these from again? EXACTLY. Let’s spin up some new models already.
So there you have it. We’re down to 10 units that are still not plastic. Which of these 10 would you prioritize first?
