Warhammer: Games Workshop Announces Three New ‘Entry Level’ Games
Looking for a quick and dirty introduction to the games of Games Workshop for friends and family? GW has just the thing!
Warhammer Games can be…complicated. Lots of models, lots of rules, lots of dice, and lots of time. What if you have a friend or family member who is interested in play with you but just can’t commit to all of that? The good news is that Games Workshop has a trio of new “Entry Level” games to allow for anyone to dip their toe in to the worlds of Warhammer. These games are perfectly suited for getting started.
“If you want to quickly introduce people to these fantastical universes of bloody warfare (and even bloodier team sports), look no further than the following brand new games – designed to be easy to pick up and play.”
Three New Challengers Enter The Arena
Blitz Bowl: Ultimate Edition
A “smaller in scale but no less bloody” game of 6v6 Blood Bowl awaits you with this offering. It’s got streamlined rules and less models to manage — perfect for quick pick-up games at lunch! If you want to get a taste for gridiron glory then check out Blitz Bowl. It’s a perfect way to start your first team(s) and get on the pitch super quick.
“This season, two new teams are ready to tussle in a tumultuous try-out – six Human players form The Reavers, while six Skaven make up The Scramblers. You’ll also get a pitch, cards, dice, and everything else you need to play an action-packed strategic sports game for two – in less than an hour.”
Warhammer Quest: Lost Relics
Want to go dungeon crawling but don’t love all the setup? Warhammer Quest: Lost Relics has you covered. You’ll play as a band of stranded Stormcast Eternals in a “mysterious labyrinth” searching for a way out. This co-op game pits you vs the “Magister” which is really just the AI in this super quick and easy to play game.
This game also features a solo mode and takes roughly a half-hour to play. With tons of replayability you’ll be back to tackle this dungeon in no time!
Combat Arena: Clash of Champions
The fast-paced miniature combat game is back with a new offering! This time Combat Arena returns with a new cast of characters throwing down in the fighting pits. This one is a little strange but a lot of fun! 2-4 players are duking it out in this one to see who can survive and maybe escape alive.
“This sequel to Combat Arena brings back fast-paced, replayable combat with accessible rules, tactical depth, and beautiful miniatures, each with their own unique actions and attacks. Will you emerge victorious?”
Spread The Love (of Tabletop Gaming)
All three of these games are coming soon from Games Workshop. They are lighter fare than their full blown cousins an each one plays relatively quick. With easy to learn rules they make a great gateway to get your friends and family into your hobby. So spread the fun and smash some skulls in the Warhammer game of your choice!
Combat Arena make for a great palette cleanser between big games. Just sayin.
