Warhammer: Pricing Update Incoming
Games Workshop is going to be updating their pricing starting March 7th.
It’s been a while since we’ve gotten the regular pricing increases from Games Workshop. We used to get almost yearly pricing increases if you remember those dark times. Now? Things are about to cost a few dollars more. Get prepared for a slight pricing increase from GW.
They aren’t wrong about the rising costs of goods. This is really just one more thing to add to the list of “things that now cost more money.” One positive thing is that GW is at least warning folks ahead of time so these pricing increases shouldn’t be a shock.
There is some “good” news for these pricing increases in that not everything is going up. There’s even some currencies that aren’t going to increase either.
At least the majority of the hobby supplies are staying the same price. There’s also a good set of starter sets, too. I’m curious if the Combat Patrols are going to go up as well…
If you are living in any of those regions you won’t be impacted by the increase in prices either. So that’s a plus.
Buy Now?
I think the real question now is if you should make those purchases now or if you should wait. Well, if you’ve been eyeing something from GW or your FLGS, you might want to consider picking it up before the pricing increase. The 5% increases will probably work out to a couple more bucks for most kits. Do you want to save that money or do you want to pay extra? If you can afford to get it now, it might be the right call.
Khorne might want skulls, but the market wants your money.
