Age of Sigmar: Scriptor Mortis Spells Death For Your Enemies With New Ability
The Scriptor Mortis sentences targets to death with this new ability. You don’t want your heroes in this book of deeds!
The Scriptor Mortis is the new Nighthaunt Hero in Arena of Shades. He’s got a twisted new ability that has the potential to drop a serious amount of mortal wounds on a target. But that’s only if you can get their name in your book. Let’s see how it works and meet the new Scriptor Mortis.
“Not only do the Scriptors Mortis record the deeds of the dead, they’re also empowered to doom the souls of the living. If they learn a mortal’s true name, it’s only a matter of time before the Scriptor writes the last chapter in the victim’s story. “
Scriptor Mortis Sentences Targets To Death
The Scriptor Mortis has a new ability called Sentenced to Eternal Torment. The concept is simple: He records a Heroes name and if you roll under the current turn that hero takes 2D6 mortal wounds.
This is an interesting ability for sure. It gets more likely to fire off the longer the game goes on. 2D6 mortal wounds all in one go is no joke! Additionally, it’s also going to get at least 1 more roll at the end of the game. That’s provided the Scriptor Mortis and the target hero are both still on the battlefield.
That’s really the first big caveat. The next one is that the target hero cannot have the Death keyword — so that’s an entire Grand Alliance this character’s ability wouldn’t work on. The final big call out here is that once a target hero is picked to be a judged soul once they cannot be picked again.
The best way to avoid getting dealt 2D6 mortal wounds for your heroes is going to be taking out the Scriptor Mortis as fast as possible. This ability can be potent but it also paints a massive target on the Scriptor’s head. I really hope we get a better look at the rest of this character’s stats, too!
