D&D: Maggie Keeneyes, Ogre Mercenary Of ‘Call Of The Netherdeep’
One last preview of Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep to start the weekend off: Maggie Keeneyes; ogre mercenary and rival adventurer.
Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep hits shelves March 15th. But before it releases, we have one last look at the party of rival adventurers lurking in its pages. From human fighters to goblin clerics, they are a strange bunch. But perhaps the best of them all is Maggie Keeneyes.
Maggie Keeneyes is an ogre mercenary. Ogres have a slightly more featured presence in Critical Role, thanks in part to Mercer’s famous love of ogres. His portrayal of the various ogre bodyguards in Critical Role is truly something worth treasuring.
But Maggie Keeneyes is an ogre of a different sort.
Behind those soulful eyes lies an intellect matched by no other.
Maggie is a fierce rival because she combines a “beautiful mind with a keen sense of surroundings and a 12-foot stature.” And when you look at Maggie’s stats, you’ll see what she has to back it up. With 10d10 hit dice for a total of 85 hit points, Maggie resilient as all get out.
On top of that, she wields a giant maul with a 10 foot reach, allowing her to knock targets prone whenever she hits a creature of any size. Or she can throw a hammer at people hard enough to sweep them off their feet.
Combine that with Maggie’s Tactical Readiness and you’ve got the anchor for a party of any adventurers.
Netherdeep Sneak Peek
Okay, you’ve seen the rival adventurers. But, what if you could get Matt Mercer to set the stage from a moment right out of the upcoming adventure for you? Well, turn your sound on.
You’re not the only adventurers this time around, a rival party is making its way through Exandria. Will you merely cross paths… or swords? ⚔️

Because he does exactly that. Get yourself some headphones, maybe a miniature or two, and you’ll be whisked away to the Emerald Loop Caravan Stop.
A large stand of trees rise out of the barren wasteland. The leaves of dozens of towering oaks rustle in the breeze, and the scent of a bonfire wafts from a trail of smoke, rising from somewhere ahead.
The path through the trees is rutted by the work of countless wagon wheels. A wooden sign posted at the head of the path bears a decorated shepherd’s crook and the words: Emerald Loop Caravan Stop
Get me some chips and dice, it’s time to adventure!
