D&D: Watch Critical Role’s Elden Ring One Shot
If you missed it live, Critical Role’s Elden Ring One Shot is now on YouTube. How do you wanna view this?
Last week, Matt Mercer led the folks from Critical Role plus a few special guests straight into the Lands Between. Sponsored by Bandai Namco, the one shot uses a heavily modified version of 5th Edition, homebrewed by Matt Mercer himself. It starts with a very dramatic opening and then quickly descends into the kind of zaniness you’d expect from both Critical Role or a poison swamp in a FromSoft game. Watch Critical Role’s Elden Ring one shot to catch moments like this one:
Huh. No wonder they partnered. At any rate, if you didn’t catch it live, this one-shot is a great way to get hyped for Elden Ring. It’s also one of the funniest livestreamed games I’ve seen in a while. Krystina Arielle and Brennan Lee Mulligan being at the same table is a dangerous combo. Add in noted Critical Role slap-dicks Marisha Ray and Sam Riegel, paired with Alex Ward, and you’ve got pure chaos just waiting to be unleashed. At one point, the players attempted to glitch through the collision of the world with a Horse Stack.
Anyway, the full video is below, you should probably just watch Critical Role’s Elden Ring One Shot.
