First Look at ‘Secret Invasion’ Features ‘Rogers the Musical’ & Rhodey
Our first look at Secret Invasion is thanks to a Londoner running errands. Check out the rubble-filled set and some telling props.
Secret Invasion was a cross-over storyline in the comics led by Brian Michael Bendis. It takes place after the Skrull-Kree War and during a time when the Skrull Empire is at great risk. They decide to jump ship and survive by invading Earth, imitating people from across the globe.
It involved a ton of Marvel heroes and villains as well as actual, real people. Part of the fun of the series was finding out who had been swapped out.
Disney+ announced a ton of shows last fall including one that could be a cross-over event for the universe they’re creating. The six episode show is scheduled to hit the streaming service late this year. The cast includes new and familiar faces.
The series stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos—characters who first met in Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel. The crossover comic event series showcases a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.
It’s going to be interesting to see if this becomes a cross-over event with the show and the movies in Phase Four. Marvel has annoucned titles that have a clear link to the Skrulls and Marvel Space. S.W.O.R.D. (thanks to Wandavision) and S.H.I.E.L.D. are also in play.

Some observations:
- Rogers the Musical is making it to London’s West End
- The MCU’s last known American president was Matthew Ellis, so there’s been change
- Maybe President Ritson is a Skrull?
- Hi, Rhodey (in a suit and tie)!
