Since the days of middle school hangouts with snacks and video games, first-person shooters like Halo have been a staple of my friend circle. The shenanigans and hijinks that occur when a teenager is given an energy sword and the freedom to dash-stab their enemies into oblivion… Or a long-distance rifle and the pure joy of shocking everyone with a cheap snipe… Halo is a ridiculous game that brings joy to many group-gaming experiences. This week, we’re here to feature some of the best Master Chief cosplays.
Halo Infinite Master Chief Cosplay by Mirrorbright Cosplay
When Microsoft rolled out the first installment of Halo, they quite literally changed the game. It was the first game I remember of the modern generation first person shooter experience. Finally a game that was as fun as Goldeneye was here, with its futuristic space theme, gorgeous locations… And of course it’s alien weaponry like the energy sword. Halo was incredibly unique in its time, and has held a special place in gamers hearts ever since.

Since all the characters in Halo wear epic space marine armor, cosplaying anybody from Halo comes with massive challenges. Not only do cosplayers have to work with heavy mediums like foam or plastic… but there are also elements of aging and weathering the armor to give it a battle-used look. A marine from Halo is a very distinctive cosplay, and there are several artistic cosplayers who have risen to the challenge. We hope you enjoy these Halo cosplays!
