Come and take a look at the newest spoilers for the next round of Magic x D&D crossover events. Everyone from Minsc to Boo is here.

Adventures in the Forgotten Realms brought the high fantasy of D&D crashing headlong into Magic: the Gathering. And that first brush was incredible. AFR went on to the top of Magic sets with rousing success. Little wonder, considering both franchises’ popularity.

But now the two are back again. This time they’ve got a sophomore album, and it’s looking pretty good. Check out some of the spoilers waiting for you in Battle for Baldur’s Gate.

Battle For Baldur’s Gate Spoilers

It all kicks off with a dragon that gives us a look at the different rules and the new art styles. Fans can get cards as the main set, borderless full art, or if you’re a real big nerd, rulebook style. Complete with aged page color and everything.

And the Brass Dragon works off of everyone’s favorite polyhedron, putting a potential 20 combined mana’s worth of cards from your Graveyard back into play.

What about the Elder Brain? This card turns your opponents hand against them, which feels like a big brain move.

What’s that you say? You want a reprint of lightning bolt? 3 damage anywhere you need for a single red? Don’t mind if I do. Here, have two.

Okay how about fireball? Both classic Magic cards, both classic D&D spells. Both incredibly appropriate considering Magic wouldn’t exist without D&D and that D&D as we know it today sepulcher exist without Magic: the Gathering.

But enough reprints. Check out some of the new magic items. Wand of Wonder really captures the feel of the Magic item, and it’s absolutely perfect for Commander.

Speaking of Commander, though, let’s look at my favorite new card from the spoilers. Minsc and Boo are back. And not only that, their emblem lets you “go for the eyes, Boo, go for the eyes!”

It’s everything I want out of this set.

Happy Adventuring
