MTG: New Capenna Arena Sleeves Found Revealing Atraxa And Breya Alternate Art
Two new images found via Magic Arena datamining reveal alternate art depictions of Atraxa, Praetor’s Voice and Breya, Etherium Shaper.
Not everyone can pull off a fedora. Let’s just start by getting that out of the way. The mid-2000’s ruined fedoras for most people. Especially people on the internet. But like most things, life requires context. And when a fedora is out of the context of someone on the internet involuntarily making you want to creep out of your skin, it can change everything.
Such is the case with the noir-inspired Magic set, Streets of New Capenna. Where angels and devils wear pin-striped suits, and everything is just a little bit art deco.
Earlier today, a redditor did some datamining and uncovered two sets of alternate art for Atraxa and Breya.
New Capenna, Alternate Art
First there’s Atraxa, Praetor’s Voice. And below we get a look at Breya, Etherium Shaper.
These new sleeves show off two cards that have been New Capenna-ized. And while the filenames indicate that they are bound for alternate sleeves, given their “CardBack” designation: “CardBack_RD_BreyaEtheriumShaper”, many are wondering if this is a sign of a future Secret Lair drop.
After all, it’s only a matter of time before there’s a New Capenna Secret Lair in some way, shape, or form. And while we don’t know what exactly these will correspond to, we do know that Breya absolutely stuns in a fedora.
Now how long before we get a Tommy gun card
