Necromunda: Ash Wastes Nomad Reveal
Necromunda is finally leaving the hives and we get our first glimpse at the Nomads from the Ash Wastes.
We’ve been waiting for more info on the upcoming Necromunda expansion Ash Wastes for a few months. After that cinematic trailer we’re pumped for more! Today, we get our first look at the Nomads who survive outside the hive. Meet the Nomads.
“Get a good look at this scruffy warrior – it may be your last. This is an Ash Waste Nomad, a brand new faction coming in Necromunda: Ash Wastes, clad in rags to match their barren surroundings, plus an all-over mask equipped with protective lenses and filtration pipes.”
We also get a look at the art of the Ash Wastes Nomad, too:
That appearance might look ramshackle but don’t let it fool you. That ‘look’ is designed to keep them alive in the Ash Wastes. Their long rifle makes a lot of sense as the weapon of choice in the dunes as well. There’s not exactly a ton of cover out there so when you see a target at range you need a weapon that can make an impact.
These Nomads are really an extension of the same culture that is created inside the hive. Most gangs fight over turf and scrap. These Nomads do the same thing only their turf is outside the hive and their scrap is probably a lot more sunbleached and sandblasted. “The People of the Ash don’t take well to hivers and outsiders stepping onto their turf – much less rummaging through the dunes for forgotten treasures.”
We’re looking forward to exploring the world outside the hive with Ash Wastes. I think there might be more Nomads in our future…
