News of Rob Zombie’s new series The Munsters has added the iconic actress best known as Elvira to their production. The horror-loving showrunner has also dropped some details about the show’s content, including some surprising news for anyone familiar with his previous productions.
The Munsters Will Be Kid-Friendly
When Zombie’s project was initially announced, fans of the classic TV sitcom were divided. After all, the charm of the first show was the wholesome aspect of this family of horrors. Rob Zombie has made his mark in horror with a very specific aesthetic – the gory kind. Are the beloved residents of Mockingbird Lane safe in his creative hands?
Cassandra Peterson Joins The Munsters Cast
According to a recent Instagram post, Cassandra Peterson has been cast as realtor Barbara Carr. And she’s clearly a vision in pink, but it’s unclear what kind of “vision” she’ll have for Mockingbird Heights. Or if that vision includes the Munster family.

The Munsters Cast
In February, the cast also added Jorge Garcia (Lost) to the cast as Floop, who is described as Herman Munster’s best pal. Floop is a Zombie-original character – Dr. Wolfgang’s lab assistant.
