These ‘Fantastic Four’ Sue Storm Cosplays are Anything but Invisible!
Cosmic forces are at work in these powerful Marvel superhero Sue Storm cosplays. Let’s check them out!
The Fantastic Four is a core facet of the Marvel universe. These superheroes are created by cosmic energies beyond their control, and their story is shrouded in science and mystery. Sue Storm is arguably one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel comics. She is a character who has always been limited by her own ambitions and connections, but there is raw power and potential underneath that’s unmatched. This week we’re celebrating some cosmic Sue Storm cosplays!
Dr. Sue Storm, aka Sue Richards (by marriage) was a genius from an early age. She has four doctorates in bio-chemical sciences, and studied extensively inner-space biology. After the cosmic radiation altered her DNA, she discovered she had not only the power to turn herself and other objects invisible, but also to manipulate force fields. She is proof that brains conquer brawn, mastering sciences and aiding in a myriad of technological advancements.
Cosplaying a character like Sue Storm of the Fantastic Four comes with many challenges. The character is human, which means that the costume is what makes the character visibly memorable. The Fantastic Four use skintight body suits as their costumes, which can prove difficult to recreate. They require precision and the right combination of fabrics.
This week we’re showcasing a variety of styles and construction for Sue Storm, and varying degrees of special effects in the photography as well! You can’t very well show an invisible character, so showcasing Sue’s force field manipulation is the most popular way to cosplay her. We hope you enjoy these Sue Storm cosplays!

“Doctor Doom!? Who—? What is he?”
” Johnny, Flame Off! You’ll get ashes all over the furniture! “
“Stop it!! Stop it!! How can you speak of it so calmly… as though it’s just a story… as though it… it isn’t really happening…”
“I’m sick of adventure — and peril!! I just want to live a normal life! I want to set up housekeeping as Mrs. Reed Richards — I want to be involved with super-markets — instead of super-villains! I’m sick of living in a ridiculous costume! I’m a woman! I want feminine dresses — foolish hairdos!”
“So, until you feel you can treat me as an equal, I’ve made up my mind. I’m taking little Franklin… — and I’m leaving! Leaving you — leaving The F.F.!”
“No one threatens my child! NO ONE!”
“Reed Richards, you are undoubtedly the most stubborn jack ass I’ve ever known!”
“But Reed .. I feel so strange! The cosmic rays … what did they do to us?”
“We of the Fantastic Four did not choose to be ‘super-heroes.’ We are just ordinary people who fate selected to be more than human. Unfortunately, or fortunately, we did not lose our human foibles when we gained our powers.”

“…One thing is clear … The Fantastic Four have a job to do!”
“Yes, I survived. That’s what we do in the Fantastic Four.”
“I’m not interested in justice Reed. What I want is VENGEANCE!“
“I know a lot of other things now. Things I think I’ve been trying to put aside, to postpone… Something a lot like growing up, perhaps. The Psycho-Man did more than twist my emotions. He forced me to look into the deepest corners of my soul, forced me to confront who I am, what have I become.”
“When we rocketed into the cosmic ray belt, when we gained our powers, we lost something. An innocence. A child-like naivety. For a long time I’ve tried to go on as if we’re still the same people we used to be, As if I was still the same. But I’m not.”
Sue Storm Cosplay by Marie-Claire Bourbonnais
“Not after all that’s happened to us. Not after what the Psycho-Man did to me. There is no Invisible-Girl anymore, Reed. She died when the Psycho-Man twisted her soul. From now on, I am the Invisible Woman!”
“But have we forgotten, along the way, that the most awesomely heroic test of all……is to be a good man or woman? Parent? A family?”
“I love the F.F. don’t get me wrong! But I got involved because Reed and Johnny and you were involved! Oh, yes–and I wanted to beat the “commies” into space!”
“I pip faster at the wrong end of AKS 74 assualt rifles, Shary.”
” Power without wisdom leads to abuse… and madness!“
“…Archimedes had it only partly right. It isn’t merely levers that are required to move the world, but also the proper incentive.”
“Now we choose to stand beside you, because we’re a family. This is where we belong. And it’s well past time you started accepting that basic truth for yourself!”
