Warhammer 40K: 5 Characters We Wish Would Get A Plastic Glow-Up
Warhammer 40k has a bajillion characters at this point. Here are 5 we wish would get the plastic treatment.
Games Workshop makes some impressive models in plastic. We’re loving the new stuff and it’s great to see old characters get a glow-up in plastic. With that said there is a very wide pool of characters from all over the Grimdark and these are the 5 we’d love to see get reworked.
Pedro Kantor
Recently pulled from the website the classic Chapter Master of the Crimson Fists is no longer available. However, we genuinely hope that he will return one day having crossed the Primaris Rubicon and that gets a fantastic new plastic version — with his iconic Power Fist and Dorn’s Arrow in tow!
Red Terror
The Red Terror was essentially the proto-Trygon/Mawloc for the Tyranids. You can read the history of this character from the Tyranids if you’ve never heard of it before. It’s listed as a “Tyranid Ravener” but if you read the lore, it was so much more than that. It’s maw was wide enough it could swallow a man whole. And it’s claws were so massive it could slice lesser creatures in two.
There’s also the issue of the size with some reports saying it a large Ravener and other saying it was more like a Mawloc or Trygon. Whatever the case we hope the Red Terror comes back in some form or fashion with a new Plastic Kit. And maybe a way to settle the debate of its size once and and for all.
Mad Dok Grotsnik
Oof. I know we’ve mentioned this model before but seriously…He needs some love. This model served its time and paid its dues. I think it’s ready to be retired and replaced with a fantastic new Plastic Glow-up version. I’m sure the old Mad Dok can tell his medical assistants how to upgrade him and make him extra Orky.
Phoenix Lord Asurmen
We could really pick any of the leftover Phoenix Lords. However, I’ve got a soft spot for Asurmen because I’m a fan of the Dire Avengers. This model is also pretty iconic from the range and I think GW would do an amazing job or recreating the Phoenix Lord in plastic. He’s in the classic 80’s power pose and that was fine back when most of the range was metal. But having this model next to the new plastics is…well, it’s dating the army. Let’s get him a Glow-up!
Lucius the Eternal
Okay, just image how cool this model would be if GW updated it with their technology today. The faces on the armor, the scars on the skin, the whip and sword…Yeah. Lucius the Eternal would be SICK with a new Plastic Kit. Here’s hoping the Immortal duelist gets a revamp one day!
There are so many characters still out there that aren’t new plastic kits — which ones do you want?
